This notice covers training.enlighteningsales.info, the manufacturer training hub run by Enlightening Sales, a manufacturers' representative for lighting, controls and door hardware in Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas, Louisiana and Mississippi.
What we collect
When you register for a course you give us your name, work email, business or showroom name and branch, phone number, role, city and state. As you take the course we record which sections you completed, each assessment attempt with its score and answers, how long the course took, the certificate issued for your first passing attempt and, for drawing eligible courses, your drawing entry. We also keep the source of your visit (for example a QR code or a rep link), campaign parameters from the link you used, a partner code when you arrived through a partner link, a hashed form of your IP address for abuse prevention, and your browser's user agent string. If you ask Lighting Source TX for an installation quote from your completion page or your certificate email, we also record the project city, the project type, the fixture count band, the timeline and the notes you write, together with the course you completed.
Why we collect it
- To issue your certificate of completion and email it to you.
- To report course participation to the manufacturer whose course you completed.
- To run the weekly drawing and contact you if you win.
- To let your Enlightening Sales account lead follow up on the line you trained on.
- To pass an installation quote request you make to Lighting Source TX so they can quote it.
- To keep the forms free of bots and abuse.
What we share
Each manufacturer receives participation reporting for its own course: your name, business, city and state, with the course, version, completion date and certificate code, together with aggregate counts and averages for the period. A completion that is under review is listed to the manufacturer as held for review and is not counted. Your email, phone and individual score are never part of that reporting and are not shared with a manufacturer unless you or your business have a written agreement with that manufacturer that asks for them.
An installation quote request goes to Lighting Source TX, the installation company Enlightening Sales works with, with your name, business, phone, email and the project details you entered, so they can contact you and quote the project. Nothing goes to them unless you send a request.
We use a small number of service providers to run the hub: Supabase (database), Vercel (hosting), Google Sheets (the tracking sheet used for reporting and the drawing), GoHighLevel (our customer relationship system) and Resend (email delivery). Each processes your information only to provide its service to us.
The hub itself sends transactional email only: your certificate, a re-send you ask for, drawing notices and replies to your questions. Course updates and offers from Enlightening Sales are sent only if you checked the opt-in box at registration; that preference is passed to our customer relationship system and our email platform, where every marketing email carries an unsubscribe link. To withdraw the opt-in from the hub side, use the "stop marketing email" option at /privacy/delete, which records the change and passes it on.
Cookies
Registering sets a cookie named es_training on your device for 30 days so the course knows who is taking it; it holds an identifier, not your details. Arriving through a partner link sets a cookie named es_partner for 90 days that records the partner code. Section progress is also stored in your browser so you can resume on the same device. No advertising cookies are used.
How long we keep it
Registration and completion records are kept for 24 months after your last activity, then your personal details are replaced with placeholders so that course statistics stay accurate without identifying you. Certificates can still be verified by their code after that.
Your choices
You can ask for a copy of your information or ask us to correct it by emailing sam@enlighteningsales.com from the address you registered with.
To delete your personal data, open /privacy/delete, enter your registered email, and confirm from the link we send to that address (the link works for 24 hours). Deletion replaces your name, email, phone, city and branch with anonymized values in the hub and the tracking sheet, clears the notes of any installation quote request you made, and removes your contact from our customer relationship system. Your completions and certificates stay on record without your name, so course statistics and aggregate participation counts already reported to a manufacturer are not affected, and a certificate code still verifies as an anonymized record. You can also email sam@enlighteningsales.com and we will run the same removal for you.
